Tokyo Tailored Tours is a low-volume, referral-based service. I design each day from scratch, drawing on a background in the arts and creative direction, along with more than 14 years living in Tokyo. The result is a private day that feels personal, well-paced, and specific to the people on the tour.
Each day is shaped around fit, pacing, and priorities.

How Your Private Day Is Designed
Every tour begins with understanding you.
-
Each day is planned around your interests, energy, and how you want to experience Tokyo.
-
The route is shaped to feel smooth, well-paced, and personal rather than rushed.
-
Food, culture, design, shopping, neighborhoods, and quiet moments are balanced around what matters most to you.
Example routes below illustrate the approach ↓

“Matthew is the absolute best. As a professional travel advisor, I ALWAYS book my clients with Matthew on their first full day in Tokyo, he curates each tour to the client’s wishes, interests, and preferences, which makes a huge difference. Everyone I’ve ever put with him says their day with Matthew was a major highlight of their trip.”
